June 6, 2021, is the end of the highest basketball league in Indonesia. The fierce match between Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta against Pelita Jaya Bakrie Jakarta had to be settled in the third game. The Finals match was carried out with extremely strict health protocols, the match without spectators was a very good policy from the IBL organizers. The match for this playoffs match was located at GOR Britama Arena Sports Mall, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta.

Profound appreciation is given specifically to the organizers, namely the Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) for successfully organizing the biggest basketball competition in Indonesia safely, comfortably, and by exceptionally good health protocols. Previously, during the regular season, IBL held a match at Villa Robinson, Cisarua, Bogor, West Java with a bubble system and continued at the Britama Arena under the name “IBL Castle” which was a bubble for several teams that entered the next round.

A very long journey and a big risk by holding a professional competition amid a pandemic situation that has not yet ended have become a separate spotlight for IBL. This is because it has been very well, very thorough, and runs smoothly. The implementation of this IBL took a long time and collaboration with many parties so that this event could run smoothly. The direct involvement of the city government and the central government is also a form of great support for basketball, this proves that IBL is serious in paying attention to health, safety, comfort, and eligibility for all parties involved in this competition and is also proof that Indonesia can continue to fighting and moving forward even amid a pandemic situation.

Support from the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Mr. Anies Baswedan (Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPsy5m7nM6x/)
Support from Minister of State-Owned Enterprise, Mr. Erick Tohir, and Minister of State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs, Mr. Zainudin Amali (Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPsCZ3knMk9/)

Once again a very big appreciation for IBL and all the crew on duty. This IBL competition or implementation also certainly provides hope for all sports so that they can be an example for other sports in carrying out their respective competitions for the future of Indonesian sports.
